Is Turmeric Helpful In Relieving Extreme Pain In The Back And Joints?
I have painful back (especially SI joint area) problems as well as osteoarthritis in other joints and am wondering if turmeric would possibly be helpful, and if so, how much. I m on blood pressure meds, thyroid med, anti-inflammatory (low dosage of Diclofenac) and Anastrazole. Also have just been diagnosed with osteoporosis (probably from the Anastrazole). Would turmeric interact with any of these?

Hi,
You are taking anti inflammatory, pain killer plus anastrozole and BP reducing drugs. Again for osteoporosis, you should take calcium supplements. Turmeric will definitely helpful, but it's interaction with drugs are not known up till now no resech done or not known. Better to change lifestyle and relive from anti hypertensive drugs and others by reducing weight, salt intake reducing etc.
