Is Urine Test Or Blood Test Sufficient To Detect Cotinine Levels?
will it be better to have a urine test or blood test to check for cotinine levels? is cotinine cleared faster via the passing out of urine therefore will be less likely to be detected in urine compared to if you have to do a blood test for cotinine? thanks

Blood test is better to check for cotinine levels Saliva cotinine values are slightly higher than in serum by a ratio of 1.16.In addition, EIA results give values higher than HPLC or CG methods due to cross‐reactivity with 3‐OH‐cotinine, a metabolite of cotinine.
