Is Using Dapsone And Medrol Safe For Black Spots Caused From Pimples?

Hi doc,am ken from kenya.I had this pimples that now leave almost all of my face with black spot after applying extraderm.how best do I heal this black spots.I was advised to use this drugs.Minocycline 50mg,Dapsone tablets 100mg,uniacne cream and Neo-Medrol acne lotion.I request to know if am at the right track to healing my black spots

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of black spots caused from pimples which occurs when sebum get accumulated along with dead skin and bacteria in clogged pore of sebaceous gland. Need not to worry. You should start with Dapsone and Medrol which is safe combination to use. Drink plenty of water. Apply betnovate on acne twice a day for 2-3 days. Exfoliate your skin once a week to remove the dead skin from your face. If condition doesn't start getting better in a week then consult dermatologist for proper examination and treatment. Doctor may prescribe oral antibiotic course clindamycin. You should go for chemical peeling and laser therapy. Take diet rich in fruits , green leafy vegetables and salad.
