Hello. I m on 8th months isotretenoin txt. I want to ask if its safe to do derma roller while on accutane or fractioanal laser rut after the treatment... i just want to give u a background...It is actually my second time using accutane... the first one was 2013 jan-june... i have a very bad experience before. I had severe breakouts during the treatment... i thought that this medication made my acne worst... i did finished my 6months before but on a very low dosage... after 6months of treatment, my face has lots of holes. Lol! 2014 i consulted another dermatologist... she ask me if i want to repeat accutane treatment.. i said no coz i am afraid that i might get more boxscar after treatment... so she just recommended me a derma roller 1mm... i used it at home... my acne continously breaking out... i tried diane pills for 6months on the yr 2015.. still i have breakouts... so i decided to go back to derma... i ask about accutane... so she gave me... i started new session last april for 20mg/day because my cholesterol is high.. i took 1 pill 20mg a day for two months til my cholesterol goes down... june i started taking 40mg/day until now december... last may i was diagnosed with PCOS so i am also taking now a diane together with accutane... my acne cleared up but my problem are the scars left.. its not bad but its noticeable... i also want to get rid of it so i asked my derma on what we can do about the scars/boxscars... she recommended fractional laser right after treatment...i am afraid bco i read that i need to wait 6mos post accutane bfore doing any other procedure.. but my doctor said its fime to do it ryt after accutane.. or i can use now a derma roller while on accutane she said... im confused... can i really do these treatments while im still on accutane.. btw my accutane treatment will be sone by dec 13... thanks
