Is Using Artificial Cartilage An Option Instead Of Knee Replacement?
I am a 62 year old male that is 75 pounds overweight. Lost a leg to bone cancer years ago but now my only knee needs to be replaced but my doctor states I must lose weight first. How can I lose weight with the only leg I have is too damaged. Is there anyway to use artificial cartilage instead of knee replacement?
Hello, Losing weight has to do with eating less calories and moving more. You can do a lot of upper body exercise if you are not able to use your legs for exercise. At present we do not have an artificial cartilage that is effective. Knee replacement is the best option. Try talking to a nutritionist to figure out a diet that can help you lose weight Regards
