Is Uterine Fibroid Removal Surgery Advisable For A Heart Patient?

Hi I am from Sri Lanka. Age 54 years and I have had 2 heart attacks and done angioplasty?? last attack was in 2012 August. I stopped my periods in Aug 2014, and after 2 years I had again in 2016 May, but not a big flotw but it was black and after a scan doctor diagnosed fibroids. 10cmx7cmx6.6cm which she said its too big and have to undergo surgery. But due to my health condition, I am reluctant to do so. I saw an article where a lady had said she had the same and she took 1000mg Evening primrose 3 times a day and she did a Castor oil massage on the abdomen three times a day and after 2-3 months it had disappeared. Please advise.

Hello,

In my opinion, surgical removal of fibroid is the only option for you. No need to follow that article. That will not help you.

And yes, you can definitely get done surgery for fibroid removal irrespective of your heart disease. So consult a gynecologist and get done surgery.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
