Is Vaginal Bleeding Suggestive Of Labor During 36 Weeks Of Pregnancy?
I am 36 weeks pregnant with my second child and had a vaginal exam at the doctor s office today. He said there may be some bloody discharge but my doctor s appointment was at 9 this morning and I just had a sign of bloody discharge now about 7:30. Could this be a sign that labor will be kicking in with the next few days to weeks?

HI, I understand your concern. Bloody dischrge at 36 weeks of pregnancy can be due to.. - .Down word decent of baby in pelvis causing minimal membrane separation can cause slight bleeding. - After intercourse., which follows stress/ trauma to mouth of uterus, - Though most of the times pregnancy continues till term ( 38- 39 weeks ), onset of labor can be any time once the 9th month starts..When such bleeding is accompanied by repeated/ periodic pains with increased bleeding/ vaginal discharge.. one should consult the treating obstetrician. _ a painless bleeding with fresh & considerable bleeding.. can be a cause of concern. It may be low position of placenta & needs doctor's consultation earliest. Complete rest, avoid stress till doctor's visit should be the strategy. thanks.
