Is Vaginal Discharge An Effect Of Monistat?
Okay so I had intercourse, the condom broke, I felt itchy that night. Went out and bought monistat the next day, figured it was a yeast infection. Spent the next day or so itchy still. The symptoms have gone away, not as itchy, just a little here and there, definitely better then a few days ago. Still am getting discharge from it. But why does it smell fishy? Is it because my vagina is clensing it self or from the monistat. If it was a BV wouldn t it continue not getting better?

Hello,
The fishy smell is probably bacterial vaginosis and this often requires an antibiotic for treatment. Yeast is different and the monostat will not treat BV. See a doctor for a pelvic exam and testing to make sure of the diagnosis and to get adequate treatment.
