Is Vaginal Spotting A Symptom Of Pregnancy?

Hello! My name is Elizabeth. For the past couple of days I have been having unprotected sex with my ex. I'm late taking my depo shot and we had sex last night around 2 a.m. and I woke up to use the restroom around 6 this morning. I was spotting and some was in the toilet. I haven't seen anymore spotting. Could it be a possibility I can be pregnant or not?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi welcome to health care magic...

You are having spotting of blood after history of unprotected sexual intercourse ...

So if 72 hour not passed that emergency pill can be prescribed like that of levonorgestrel..

If 72 hour passed than no active treatment needed..If your period is delayed than blood or urine hcg estimation can be done to exclude pregnancy.

If hcg high than subsequent USG done to rule out pregnancy

Take care

Advise : Consult gynecologist for examination and further work up
