Is Vaginal Spotting A Symptom Of Pregnancy?

Hello, recently I have had my first sexual relationship with my boyfriend. I have never lost my virginity or had sex with before. Today, i noticed a spotting of blood but I am sure that my period is not due yet. Me and my boyfriend did not use any kind of protection/contraception at all and I am worried that I might be becoming pregnant. What do i do?

Hi,

Spotting could have been caused due to implantation. But to suspect that you could be pregnant, you need to miss your periods.

If you miss your periods, take a urine pregnancy test. Consult Obstetrician with the result for clinical evaluation and appropriate management.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ashakiran S,
