Is Valsartan Equally Effective As Benicar HCT For High Blood Pressure?

I was taking Benicar hct for 2 yrs. my health care provider will no longer pay for the drug because it does not come in genetic. So my doctor prescribed valsartan hct2 160 12.5 which does. My question what is the best for high blood pressure that is equal to Benicar hct?
