Hi,
I've gone through your query and I understand quite well your concern.
Based on what you referred to me your wife is experiencing ADS- autonomic dysfunction syndrome that is an alteration of auronomic activity as a result of traumatic brain injury, severe brain injury, hydrocephalus, intracerebral hemorrhage etc
This syndrome results in hypertension, fever, tachycardia, tachypnea, pupillary dilation, and extensor posturing. Clinical manifestations consist of a temperature of 38.5º C, hypertension, a pulse rate of at least 130 beats per minute, a respiratory rate of at least 140 breaths per minute, intermittent agitation, dystonia- muscular spasm due to this neurological injury.
Fever in patients with brain injury is most often due to infection. Less frequently, fever is due to deep venous thrombosis etc.

So, I suggest you to ask for medical assistance in Intensive Care Unit because after major brain injury, brain temperature, similarly to intracranial pressure, should be continuously monitored.

Hope this information is helpful to you
