Is Vascular Inflammation And Cerebral Venous Thrombosis Of The Brain,same?

Is vascular inflamation and cerebral venous thrombosis of the brain the same thing? We've been getting all kinds of diagnosis for my mom. MRI/MRV shows something definitely something in her brain. Her symptons are severe headaches, confusion, nausea, etc

Vascular inflammation is different form cerebral venous thrombosis. Cerebral venous thrombosis is a type of stroke. While vascular inflammation is not stroke, but it may lead to repeated stroke.

These two disorders have different manifestations on the brain MRI and different clinical symptoms.

Sometimes, they may overlap: vascular inflammation can lead to cerebral venous thrombosis. You should discuss with her doctor on these issues.
