Is Walking And Standing For Long Hours Advisable While Suffering With Foot Pain?

Hi. Three weeks ago I accidentally dropped a small DVD player on my right foot. I went to an orthopedic doctor & he gave me a walking boot. I need to know: is it safe to go to a parade where I would be standing for at least an hour, maybe two, & also have to walk at least 3 blocks?

Hello,

Prolonged standing is not recommended as it will cause increased pressure on the sole and aggravate symptoms. As of now you can use analgesics / anti-inflammatory combination like aceclofenac / seratiopeptdase for symptomatic relief. If symptoms persist, it is better to consult a physician and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
