Is Watery Diarrhea, And Fever Due To Dehydration?

I had severe diarrhea yesterday (probably 20-30 large very watery stools) in about 18 hours yesterday. Actually probably more. No stomach pain but a fever of 100 degrees. I feel very tired today but no diarrhea. Never had anything like this. Should I see my doctor about dehydration?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to a gastrointestinal infection.

I recommend using over the counter option like in case of diarrhea such as Imodium.

I also recommend using Pedialyte to prevent dehydration.

I suggest drinking liquids and rest.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi,
