Is Weakness And Depression Due To Increased Dosage Of Baclofen?

My husband had a brainstem stroke in July. He has had unrelenting hiccups and the Dr. has given him baclofin for them. We increased his dosage from 5 mg. 3 times a day to 10 mg. 3 times a day, two days ago. He is experiencing some extreme weakness and depression. From what I ve been reading, the baclofin could be the cause. He also took 25 mg of amitriptyline hcl this evening.
