Is Whey Protein Safe To Be Taken After A History Of Having Kidney Stones?

I have had a problem with kidney stones . With help from doctors I have been 3 years without any stones. My problem is that I need to lose weight and a dietitian has suggested a whey/protein drink after buying a powdered mix I read the can and it says not to use if you have kidney disease. My nephrologist has classified me at did stage 3 with a great of around 58. Is this protein drink a bad idea? Thank you Tim

if youhave developed nephropathy then it is not safe. what is stage three if it is nephritis then avoid protein. so take advice from nephrologist regarding diet.
