Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Is White Vaginal Discharge After Multiple X-rays A Concern?
I got several x-rays taken yesterday of my spine. They had a lead barrier up but it might not have covered all of the pelvic area on me. There was a really long exposure shot too of the side of my spine (14 seconds) Today I experienced a decent amount of menstrual bleeding (red blood, not brown spotting) but no cramps. I m on birth control and am sexually active. I had white discharge in my underwear a few hours after the x-rays and thought I had ovulated. Is this normal?
Multiple x ray exposure will not cause white vaginal discharge. some amount of white discharge may present at the time of ovulation. So don't worry unless you have lower abdominal pain, fever, increased secretion with fowl smelling. Then consult with gynaecologist.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards, Dr Shyam B. Kale, General & Family Physician
