Hello,
Working out is not tied to a particular time of the day, although, due to keeping your circadian rhythm (day/night and sleep/wake cycle) in order, you may not want to train too late in the day, because the physical activity leads to raising of
cortisol levels and the high
stress applied through the training, will also lead to further sleeping problems and inability to fall asleep, thus, affecting your productivity and normal functioning in the following day.
I initially recommend my patients try a Valeriana supplement or a
Melatonin supplement or a combination of both, in addition to getting the habit of setting a standard daily sleep/wake cycle (for example: you get up at 7 am and go to sleep at 10 pm every day), in order to get a relief from the falling asleep and staying asleep problems.
Otherwise, if the problems persist, a consultation with a Sleep specialist would be of great help.
Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Aleksandar Dimovski,
