Is Yellow, Smelly Tongue With White Discharge After Piercing An Infection?
I got my tongue pierced 6 days ago and now I've noticed that there is a small amount of white discharge from the hole which tastes bad. Also, my tongue is slightly yellow, which smells bad. Is this an infection, or just dead skin cells? My tongue isn't sore or swollen.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have yellow, smelly tongue with white discharge after piercing is due to abscess formed due to infection, area must have got infected with the bacteria leading to formation of an abscess. I would suggest you to maintain proper oral hygiene. Do gargle with hydrogen peroxide. Take Advil for pain. You should not wear stud over tongue until it will completely. Apply oral antimicrobial ointment. Take anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen. You such suck on ice pops to reduce any type of swelling and inflammation. Visit dermatologist/ surgeon once and get it examined. Start treatment after proper diagnosis.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
