It Was Just A Year Ago That I Had An

It was just a year ago that I had an episode of severe dizziness- not lightheaded- real dizziness. I was taken to the hospital with a suspicion of stroke. I had cat scan, 2 different MRIs, and an echocardiogram. They said I did not had a stroke. Last week I had an MRI for another issue and the MRI found evidence of a stroke. They called it a " small chronic deep white matter infarct in the right frontal lobe". My question is could this be a remnant of what happened a year ago, and if so, why wouldn't it have shown up at the hospital. I received no treatment except for pills to take if I get dizzy again. By the way, I have an appointment with a neurologist Tuesday and my primary on Friday. Thanks for your help- I'm almost afraid to move for fear something else will happen now! ( foolish I know)
