Itch On Left Throat, Dr Told Because Of Cold, Itching Continuing. Suggestion?

I have a constant itch on the left side of my throat/side of tongue. I've seen a doctor but they said it was the common cold however I don't have a sore throat and when I look myself I see nothing and yet I feel this itch. I thought maybe I had a tonsil stone but when I used my water pik nothing came out so now I have no idea what it could be. As far as I know I don't have alergies either but I've had this itch for over a week now and it's getting really annoying.

Hi,
It seems that you might be having pharyngitis producing irritation on the part giving rise to itching feeling.
It might be due to having fried, chillies and junk food.
Do warm water gargles.
Take some throat lozenges.
Ok and take care.
