Itchiness On Labia, Outer Opening Of Vagina, Itchy Stomach, Arms, Legs. Cure?
Hi I have never had this before but my labia and the outer hole of my vagina has been itchy for few days now and all of a sudden my arms, legs and stomach feel itchy also around my belly button. I am worried about what it could be as u have never experienced this before. Could you please let me know what has caused this? Thanks for your help
Scabies can be the first possibility. It is a parasite infection which usually presents with intense itching and mite burrows in the area of the hands, feet, wrists, elbows, back, buttocks, and external genitals (labia and perineum).
This itching worsens usually at night and there is history of other family members also being affected.
For the treatment of this you need to consult a dermatologist to confirm the diagnosis of scabies by naked eye examination of itchy lesions.
The other possibility can be a dry scaly skin. Use of calamine lotion will help relieve this.
Also fungal infections can be very itchy. In the vagina they usually present with curdy white discharge, itching and redness.
