Itching Around Vagina. Used Clotrimazole. Itching Stopped. Pinkish Fluid. Periods?
I used the clotrimazole pills after noticing an itching around outer lip of my vagina... After finishing the pills and applying cream for three days, no foul smell but a pinkish fluid was there for a few days. And now my period is early by six days, I am relieved but a little worried still about what could I have had and if it's been treated. Should I be worried?
Vaginal itches can be caused by any things. Some include trichomoniasis, vaginal candidosis, vaginitis etc. THe fact that it responded to clotrimazole makes it more likely that it was vaginal cadidosis(clotrimazole treats only this among the possible causes cited). also, because symptoms have subsided, i believe you have been treated for this condition.
Menses being early by 6days is really not a cause to be too worried unless there are any other signs or symptoms which may need more attention.
I hope this helps and answers your query. Wish you good health. feel free to return to me and ask for more questions. Dr. Ditah, CM.
