Itching In Hair Line, Redness, Temple Pain, Swelling In Neck, Headache, Joint Pain. Fungal Infection?
I had itching in my hair line specifically in the left side of my scalp . I then started to get a red mark and new symptoms to present itself every day sharp stabbing pain in my left temple, swelling on the left side of neck low grade temp puffiness in left eye and now right eye I am having joint pain and a constant headache just on the left side of my head. I thought i was bitten by a spider but my PA states that it fungal and perscribed lotrisone and prednisone 20mg, she also did a sed rate no results asof today Is her diagnosis correct?

hi,itching over the left side only is rare.as it is associated with red marks and pain it can be herpes zoster.it is a viral infection starts with pain and redness then blisters appeared over the one side of face.may be it is associated with fungal infection.use acyclovir 800 mg five times daily,ultracet tablet at night.a broad spectrum antibiotic and apply calamine lotion on the pain part and keto lotion on the itching part.use atarax 25 mg at night to relieve from itching
