Itching In Hand, Red Spots,finger Pulp Is Shredding Skin

hi... i m mbbs student..i m getng severe itching on my hand.. d palmar aspect its more..i can c sum kind of resd spots beneath the skin ... nd my finger pulp is shredding little little skin.. d hands are no more soft to touch nd itching is severe.. not able to tolerate...earlier had this pblm..which always heald on its d itchng was not dat severe....pls help..

hello,

this condition is called pompholyx.

the treatment would be application of steroid cream like mometasone furoate 0.1% once a day for 10 days over the palms and

oral antihistaminic tablet like tab. loratidine 5 mg once a day will help you out with the itching.

in case there is any pus filled lesion, then it is infected, a topical antibiotic cream i.e fucidin will be effective.


in case you sweat a lot over your palms that will have to be taken care of as well.
