Your itching could be a medication side-effects, which medications are you taking at present? Most medications used in treatment of alcohol withdrawal do not have itching as a side-effect, however you may consult your dermatologist as early as possibility to look for the cause of itching.

A very common cause of itching in alcohol users (even after stopping alcohol use) is liver disease. You must get your liver functions tested and do an ultrasound examination of your abdomen for clues to liver disease.

Consult a dermatologist or general medicine specialist for your complaints.
