Itching On Palms, Nerve Problems, Burning Sensation. History Of Arm Pain, Cant Bend Arm Backwards. Treatment?
Hi My mother is having terrible itching on her right hand palm since a couple of months. Just 2 years back she suffered pain on her right arm and she found it very difficult to move her hand backwards. The doctor said that it was a nerve problem. And now she recovered from that pain but this new problem of itching and burning sensation showed up. This problem becomes more during night time.
She can take neurotropic drugs like Neurobion forte once daily for 6 weeks minimum. This is available over the counter and helps in relieving the itching and burning sensation.
Pregabalin is also found to be very effective in these conditions. Please get her blood sugar levels tested, as Diabetes is one of the common causes of peripheral Neuritis. If, she is a known diabetic, keep her blood sugars under normal control.
Hope this helps.
Regards,
