Itchy Feeling On Buttocks Crack, Blood And Pus Oozing From Lump. Is It A Pilonidal Cyst?

hi, a couple of months ago i started to get this itchy feeling at the top of my buttcrack and eventually it turned into a bump and then it swelled and burst and pus and blood came out then it would stop and the bump would get smaller but never go away and start up again eventually. ive been researching online and people say its a pilonidal cyst and the info ive read on them scares me but im really embarassed to go to a doctor...anything you can tell me would be helpful ?

There is a little bit correction in your diagnosis it is pilonidal sinus not cyst as pus is coming out of it. In my opinion it is pilonidal sinus and don't be shy to go to your doctor and get it treated as soon as possible. It can a small abscess and needs only a course if antibiotic.
Pilonidal sinus requires a small surgery and there after it is cured but you have to take some precautions. A doctor see a number of such patient every day so there is no matter to get shy from your doctor. Be comfortable and get examined by your doctor and accordingly treatment can be planned.
