Itchy Nipples, Nursing Baby, Lanolin Ineffective

Upper area around my nipples is scratchy. My daughter is 19 months old and I have been nursing her till last week. I used a lot of lanolin but it is not really helping to heal .Do I need to see a doctor

As you are currently nursing and have itchy nipples, it would be best to visit a doctor for your complaints as a presentation similar to yours can be related to conditions which can result in serious discomfort and even weaning off nursing, which would prove to be less healthy fot your child.
