Itchy Nose, Found White Thick Skin On Side Nose. What Could This Be?
my daughter who is 19 has always complained of an itchy nose , her nose is really small. She now says she feels that something is up her nose, we have just had a look with a torch and it looks white, thick skin like on the side of her nose, the other side appears similar, although not such a large white patch of skin, what could this be ?

hello and welcome to HCM,
I have understood your concern about the white patch in your nose.
Let me tell you that our nose even though a small structure from outside, since the advent of endoscopes, has become a large area of interest!
There may be many such colored or white skin like structures which may be a normal structure in most of the cases so do not worry.
However since you are concerned it is advisable to just undergo an endoscopy in consultation with your ENT so that you can be rest assured that alls well.

From history it seems that she might be having nasal polyp or Deviated Nasal Septum.
Consult ENT specialist and get examined.
