Itchy Red Bump On External Vagina. Due To Contact? Why Is It Growing?
My sister (age 44 who is healthy and has never had any vaginal issues) has a small red bump inside the outer part of her vagina on one side. Sometimes it itches. She is concerned because her 12 year old daughter is recovering from vaginal cellulitis and pnemonia after a vacation with constant swimming and water sports in a lake. She doesn t know whether to seek treatment from her Gynecologist or wait and see if it heals on its own. She says it initially started as tenderness which she attributed to an extra long spin class but then when she looked at it the next day she noticed it was a raised red bump.
