Itchy Red Patches On Face, Dots With White Halo On Cheeks. Treatment?
I have 2 dry red itchy patches on my face.one over the left eyebrow and the other over my nose.these appeared 2 months back besides that there are 3 red dots surrounded by white halo each on my cheeks.this appeared 2 weeks back.my wedding is in two months please help.my face was had always been smooth and spotless.my diet is normal and my serum levels are within range.
You seem to have developed lesions of seborrheic dermatitis. First you should avoid using any kind of oil over your scalp or over your face. You should use a mild topical steroid like desonide over the affected areas twice a day for four to five days. In addition, you might need to take antihistamines to relieve the associated itching. Avoid using any other cosmetics over the face for sometime. Always use a sunscreen before going out in the sun.
