Itchy, Slightly Red Bumps On Skin Looking Like Bug Bites. No Relief From Hydrocortizone Cream, Little Relief From Caladryl. What Can Be Done?

I have these itchy bumps on my skin which I suspect are bug bites. I'm fair skinned and they are only slightly redder then my skin tone. I've had about a dozen of them for over a week and a half and they just itch intensely and will not go away. Hydrocortizone cream doesn't provide any relief and caladryl works a little. I want them to heal though but my doctor doesn't have any openings for three weeks. What should I do?

Hi,
Thanks for writing in.
The condition can be scabies or insect bite reaction.
A visit to dermatologist will allow proper diagnosis and treatment.
Till the time you can take Tab.Zyrtec for itching .Also you can apply caladryl lotion. Definitive treatment would be permethrin cream application below neck for overnight.
Hope this helps.
