I've Been Having Difficulty Passing Gas And Having Bowel Movements

I've been having difficulty passing gas and having bowel movements for over a month now. I've also been noticing white spots in my stool. I eventually had such severe abdominal pain in my transverse colon region that I went to urgent care where they took an X-ray and said I was just backed up and recommended colace and Metamucil. I took both for around five days and they didn't help much. I ended up seeing a gastroenterologist yesterday and he recommended I take miralax daily as well as getting tested for celiac disease. I haven't received the results of that test yet. This morning I had two bowel movements and both had reddish pink spots in them. Should I make another appointment with my gastroenterologist as soon as possible or may it just have been some food I had recently ?
