I've Had What I Thought To Be Gas Pains In

I've had what I thought to be gas pains in my back left side near the shoulder blade or slightly below. I've had this pain for four days. It has gotten progressively worse, now involving a radiating pain down my left arm to my wrist. As if I hit my funny bone. I'm embarrassed to go to the hospital for just for gas pains. But it's getting worse. I have acidosis. Skin only so far. Haven't had a problem with it in about 9 yrs. Also just had lung infection and finished a slack course. I'm I being ridiculous going to the hospital?
