Hi, Arthritis can cause similar problem like pain and swelling, but your history of constant pain and locking sensation drives me to investigate further. Your age is not mentioned to rule out arthritis and X ray findings help more to rule out other causes. Is the swelling increasing in size or same, If the swelling is increasing in size please consult an orthopedician. He might diagnose the right cause by taking an x ray in 2 more views and Arthroscopy if needed.
Hope this might help!
