Knot On Head, Swelling, No Bleeding. Iced It. Done CT Scan. What Is Going On?

I fell about 4 months ago and hit my head on our boat. It caused a knot about the size of a golf ball. I put ice on it and the swelling went down a little. After about 4 weeks I went to the Dr and they did a CT scan to make sure there was no bleeding. It came back fine. Now the knot is back and it is sore and kinda soft. Should I have it looked at again?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Thanks for consulting HealthcareMagic!

It may be a hematoma collected under the skin. Although, the serious things have been ruled out by CT scan, this also needs to be evaluated. A general surgeon is the concerned specialist for this. Physical examination is mandatory to assess this. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if you have have any clarifications.
