Knots On Back Of Head. Reaction To Measles Shot Suspected, Previously Rosella Suspected For Fever, Rashes. Advise?
my daughter had her 1 year shot 3 weeks ago, on a monday that firday she started running fever and ran it all weekend long 103. took her back on monday and the dr. said she had roseola she had a rash all over, rash went away about 4 days later. 2 days later the rash can back and she has 3 knots in the back of her head. took her back in and dr. now says she didn't have roseola its just a reaction to the measles shot and the knots are just swollen glands. what do you think. if you have swollen glands is there a infection?
Hi I will be specific. The swollen glands or lymph nodes enlargement could be because of numerous causes. Infection as a cause is just one. in your case it could be because of vaccine shots or infection, but whether that infection is symptomatic or not and whether it warrants a course of antibiotics or not can be best decided by a doctor on complete examination of the patient. Hope it helps. Pleas let me know if you have further queries Regards Dr amit
