I am a 24-year-old female whose left labia has been swollen for a few days now and I found a hard bump under the skin , I went to the gyno and she tested me for BV and said she only found one cell with infection so it was probably an infection that s clearing up on its own. I did start depo-provera a couple of months ago and have had some problems with it including night sweats and some irritable bowel . She did not mention herpes and said it probably wasn t a cyst because it was deeper than that, but it did move around when she pushed on it so she said my lymph node was swollen but didn t tell me why. Should I go get a second opinion or some other test? I m scared I have herpes but I think she would have told me that?
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The swollen deep seated lymph node can be a warty or due to herpes. You need to have an FNAC of the node and a tzank smear for proper diagnosis and treatment.
Going from a second opinion from another gynaecologist will be most helpful.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
