Labored breathing after being prescribed 50mg of atenolol.....can barely function. I have 3 young children to care for and am winded from a shower. I'm a 40 yr old female that had a blood pressure reading of 147/104 @the Drs office and suffering from vertigo. I had an episode b4 arriving at the office but I'm extremely stressed and high blood pressure runs in the family. I want to treat it but I can't feel like a lame zombie incapable of caring for my kids, driving or accomplishing simple everyday tasks. I was also prescribed prednisone for 5 days...no idea why. I told Dr I take daily benedryl. Can I continue benedryl or should I stop? I'm calling office 2moro. So scared labored breathing may lead to an ER visit or worse. Thanks!
