Large Clots While Bleeding, Bright Red Blood. Have Implant, Sexually Active. Normal? Miscarriage?

Hi, I have the implant and its due to be removed in a few months.. I have had a on going period for 2-3 weeks with a day or 2 break in between every say 4 days. During bleeding I am finding quite large clot/bag looking things also blood is bright red. Is this normal or could I be experiencing a miscarriage. I am in a sexually active relationship.

Hi,
Thanks for writing to us.
The chances of pregnancy have always been there with unprotected sex.
In your case your implant is removed and you are not using any type of contraception, so chances of pregnancy may be there.
You can consult a gynaecologist to rule out pregnancy and get your ultrasonography test done to rule out the cause of bleeding.
This bleeding may be because of implant removal also.
Good luck.
Regards
Dr. Richa
