Large Painful Spots, Smelly White Thick Discharge Comes Out. Suggestion?
Hi there. My boyfriend suffers with spots anyway, but occasionally he gets the odd very large and painful one. However, recently a he has had a large lump for 6 months and a few weekd ago it popped and a very smelly white thick discharge came out, very different to he has had before. And then tnoght, it popped again and more of the discharge came out. It worries me that there is this gunk in his system? Is there anything you can tell me?

As per your description one of his acne or spots got infected and when it burst purulent discharge came out. He can control these from getting big by applying Canesten ointment on them twice daily for a week when they appear.Usually they disappear without a trace.If they become large he can take a course of minocycline 100mg once daily for 5 days.You have to take the large lump to a surgeon who can incise and drain the swelling.You have to send the pus for culture and sensitivity to find out which organism is responsible for tha infection and the suitable antibiotic to treat it
