Last Week I Cooked A Spiced Pulled Pork Roast And

Last week I cooked a spiced pulled pork roast and since then I have developed swelling of the face, tongue, cheeks ,neck and throat. Anything with a pepper based (paprika, cayenne, chilie powder base) I am now developing symptoms identified above. My symptoms develope during the night. I was never allergic before and now I am afraid to eat anything with spices. I have been to the hospital twice and am now on Benadryl. I have an appointment tomorrow with my family doctor. I am hopping to get sent to an allergist to determine why I am suddenly reacting to these spices or whatever is causing this issue. Do you believe that a spice in the pulled pork my have triggered something in my system? I am 64 years old
