Last week I went to get my annual pap smear and since im 30 they do a hpv test as well. Ok my doctor just called me today and said my Pap Smear results came back Normal but it was not enough Specimen to do my hpv test, so she gave me an option to wait until my next annual or to come back in. So I decided to schedule an appointment to go back in to give another specimen sample. My question is. is that good or bad because I thought that they use the same specimen for both test. Also about 4 years ago I had a Pap Smear and I was told my pap was normal, but when my bill came in the bill stated Ascus so I called in and was told they did a follow up hpv and Im guessing that came back negative thats why my pap was said to be normal. By the way all my paps so far have been normal
