Last week took fasting blood sugar - 104 mg/DL & post prandial blood sugar - 152 mg/DL. Doctor have given metformin hydrochloride 500 mg to be taken daily. He told to take this for 1 month. Do I need to take this for life long. Just need ur advise is it OK to take the med.
