Late On Periods, Got HCG Blood Test Done. Can Any Online Doctor Help Me To Read It?

sir, my girlfriend is more than 1 month late on her periods, i got her urine tested two times at 20 days and 28 days, both resulted negetive, this time i got her a beta HCG blood test and the result shows 1.2mlU/L. i dont exactly know whot does it mean, is she pregnant?

if not what might be wrong..

Hi,

HCG stands for human chorionic gonadotropin. It is a hormone that is produced by chorion of the placenta. The good news for you is that any level below 5 mIU/L is negative for pregnancy. Thus, your girlfriend is not pregnant.

Further, If you are going to engage in regular sexual intercourse, I recommend that you use OCP pills as a method of contraception. Also, I recommend that you use condoms along with them to reduce the chances of pregnancy. I hope this helps. Best of luck.
