What Causes Delayed Periods Along With Low HCG Levels?
hello doctor, My periods are abnormal,i get periods abt 60days,now am pregnant but my hcg level is very low like its 117 for first blood test, den rised to 200 for second blood test.my last period was on 28th Dec. My GN telling i may have misscariage inside my wowb.
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern... Yes your gynaecologist is right. HCG level of 200 in 8-10 week after last menstrual periods are very low & is abnormal. Pregnancies with low HCG levels are very prone to undergo miscarriage in early part of pregnancy. However HCG hormone rising is a good indication & you may be able to continue this pregnancy. You may be given synthetic progesterone hormone like gestone in form of injection to reduce the risk of miscarriage. You may also be advised complete bed rest for the same purpose.
Refer to your gynaecologist Hope this information helps
