Legs And Face Swollen Almost Twice, At The Age Of 74 Years

My mother is 74 her legs have swollen almost twice there size and her face is also swollen the doctor gave her something for fluid and called in home health for her . Is this life threatening .

Get her thyroid profile tested to rule out hypothyroidism.It can be due to many reasons & consult some good physician & get her tested thoroughly & treated at the same time.Disclaimer
