Lengthy, Painful Clotty Periods With Discomfort In Pelvic Region. Diagnosed Bulky Uterus And Fibroid. History Of Miscarriage. Recommend

Hi. Sometimes late last year (2012), i went for a scan and discovered i was 2months 2 weeks pregnant. After about a week after the scan, i lost the pregnancy. I thereafter went for another scan and it was discovered that i had fibroid.The scan report read " Normal smooth-walled bladder. No debris. Uterus is enlarged. 61mm AP, 61mm TS, 122mm LS. Fibroids: 35mm central in body. Intramular, submucous. Endometrium is 2mm normal. Ovaries normal, not polycystic, no adnexal mass, normal POD. DIAGNOSIS: FIBROID.

I went for another scan about a week ago and was told i had a bulky uterus. My menstrual cycle is very lenghty, painful, clotty and i experience discomfort in the pelvic region. What do i do.

Hello really sad to hear your miscarriage. ..yes fibroid is major reason of miscarriage because it leads to weak zygote implantation. ....now cure there are two possibikities first say you are young and you gavent compketed your family then try some oral drugs by adbice of gynaecologist if not controlled a surgery called myomectomy is done in which only fibroid is removed. ...second optionyou have compketed family then too first try mmyomectomy if still problem a surgery called abdominal hysterectomy is other choice .....hope my answer is of some help to you
